Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths
1. Authenticity
The foundation for myself being authentic has everything to do with having an identity reflected in my Personal Mission Statement.
2. Failure
Failure may seem like a paradox to have for a strength, but bear with me. What has made me successful in most of my life endeavors has been that I’m not afraid to fail.
3. Observant Listening
Many people refer to me as a good listener, and it has more to do with my personality. I’m a firm believer that you can learn from anyone, be it children, the elderly, and all those in between.
Weaknesses
1. Lone Wolf
Being a lone wolf is probably my most problematic weakness, mainly because of where I feel most comfortable. This has served me well in certain aspects, which has benefitted my strength of being Authentic but also has stunted my growth in how I deal with people in general.
2. Overthinking (Aloof)
Overthinking is probably the bane of my existence. If I were to express the thoughts that run in my head daily, they would overwhelm people because they typically overwhelm me.
3. Transparency
Transparency is an unusual weakness of mine. It runs with my strength of being an observant listener. I’ve never been shy, but I have one of many sayings that I live by (said a lot by my father): “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”
